Phoenix Helicopter Academy was established in 2009 and has quickly grown to become one of the Uk’s most trusted Helicopter providers.  The company is owned and run by instructors and pilots who are passionate about their jobs and will go out of their way to fulfil your needs and make your helicopter flying lessons, charter or pleasure flights the unrushed, enjoyable and rewarding experience they should be. So whether you are learning to fly for pleasure and gaining your Private Pilots Licence (PPL H) or the start of a new career to become a Commercial Helicopter Pilot (CPL H), need a helicopter for that special event such as your wedding or wanting to attend a major sporting event, or simply that one off experience of a trial lesson or pleasure flight, we are here to help.
 

Goodwood: is our home base and is the perfect environment for learning to fly helicopters located in un-controlled airspace with large training areas.  It hosts two of the largest helicopter events in the UK being the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival.  It is very helicopter friendly with large hover training areas.  We tend to do most of our training either along the beautiful Sussex South Downs, or along the equally spectacular Hampshire and West Sussex coast line. Goodwood is   ideally located within an hour’s drive of Southampton, Portsmouth, Brighton, Haslemere and only an hour and a half from London

It’s the perfect location to learn to fly helicopters, take a helicopter trip or pleasure flight and at Phoenix we are here to help with all your needs from helicopter flying lessons, gift experiences, pilot training, helicopter charter or pleasure flights.

Helicopter Training: At Phoenix we have a different approach to training; based more on the individual needs of the students with completely flexible courses and pricing plans where you chose when you want to fly and how often. Our instructors are all very experienced and with our structured training programmes the results are a constantly low hour pass rate. We have the capability to offer PPL (private pilot’s licenses) on several different helicopter types as well as offering CPL (commercial pilot’s license) courses to those aspiring for a career change.

Helicopter Charter: At Phoenix we operate under our own AOC (Air Operators Cirtificate) so you can be assured that your charter flight is both legal and performed by professionals. We can cater for all your Helicopter Charter needs from bespoke charter for business, that special occasion including helicopter wedding flights or Aerial Photography. We also cover all the main sporting events throughout the social calendar. With Helicopter Charter shuttle flights to Silverstone F1 Grand Prix, Goodwood Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival to name but a few.

We even have a unique set of Helicopter pleasure flights that include hotel stops for lunch.
